Not true
Probably because you’re expecting something good to happen to you for doing something good. Karma doesn't work like that
Being a decent human being has gotten me a lot of connections over the years
You don't get anywhere by yourself
Why do you feel like you need to get anything by being a good person?
If you are expecting to get something for being a good person instead of doing it just for the sake of it, you very likely are not as good of a person as you might think you are.
This is a very good point. You can learn a lot about how "good" someone really is by their motivations.
This is true in spaces that are reliant on capitalist systems, but personal relationships it's usually best to be a good person.
agree but I think that being a good person means a lot when it comes to business relationships because of peaks/valleys
Sounds a lil wild/sociopathic but always good to be a good person because you will always need help when you least expect it
as someone who tries to see things from a 360 perspective always, helping people and showing compassion always feels good to me imo
Doesn’t it defeat the purpose of being a good person if you’re only doing it to expect some sort of return lol
ngl regardless of what you get out of it that s*** should come from the heart
not everything needs to be an exchange all the time
Doesn’t it defeat the purpose of being a good person if you’re only doing it to expect some sort of return lol

Like literally and i always thought karma was a thing, but ive noticed when im tryna be a good person the worst things happen to me. Yet when im f***ed up i get opportunities. Life doesnt reward anything good
You gotta have a different mind frame about this. Hardest thing to do since this s*** basically gets hard coded into us as kids but that’s the only way out

you’re not a bad person for prioritizing yourself first
most people are only really looking out for themselves at the end of the day fam
