She's a scientist that works on rockets. Her observation of the pentagon footage/tic tac videos leads her to believe that the crafts aren't even from this dimension.
From the way the pilots describing these things blipping in and out of reality and moving at incredible speeds that would kill a human pilot.

Perhaps these beings are from a different dimension all together.

Basically consciousness isn't tied to the physical realm and transcends the dimensions that we are anchored to. With this, time and space are not experienced the same way we experience them. Past, present and future can be interacted with in a similar way we interact within our lower dimension. Now add technology into that mix. You get a lot of incomprehensible possibilities between a race of beings and what they choose to create given their capabilities.

The possibility that beings have already solved this and learned to use it in ways to help them evolve as a species and society isn't far-fetched. It opens up a whole new world of understanding.
