I feel like topics like this will never get anywhere because you'll always have Americand who have a superiority complex and foreigners/people who hate America who will just use it to deflect from actually critiquing the country at hand.
Pretending like America has solved its issue and is some paradise is insane when people are literally marching for their rights damn near weekly.
But also tho America has issues with LGBT people comparing it to the issues in Africa and acting like it isn't safer here for lgbt people then in most of Africa again is nuts.

and you're still missing the point. US normalizes violence against trans people. there's a reason trans teens have highest suicide rates, why these bills and laws have been met with minimal opposition etc.,
