It’s not even a generational run, electronic music is just really like that.

I wouldn't say any of those genres were on a run in the past 5 years. The old guard continued to make good music but that was it. Lot of dudes got softer in what they made too but at least shades became a thing (though it's just 2 long time left field bass producers)

I would say 2020-2025 only has riddim on a run in regards to bass music and that's not really the same
