yeah i listen to Burna Boy all the time and a lot of other african artists, there's the older afrobeat artists who i think people know about too. especially the obvious ones like fela and tony.
would just love to see rappers get that chance too. would be cool if the singers were equal to the us, canada and the uk as well.
rappers dominating has been weird for the uk cos usually with older genres we've been able have stars just as big as the US. our singers are still big tho like adele, ed sheeran and dua even if i don't listen to them lol.
i'm surprised J Hus hasn't blown up overseas, the melodies are so strong everyone should be able to get it.
