The privatization of Iraqi oil after the war has not lead to any increase in poverty
That's because the ouster of Saddam came with the lifting of US sanctions that killed hundreds of thousands Iraqis, are you seriously trying to argue that oil revenues going to private US corporations instead of Iraq has no impact on their economy
what are US interests in the region?
I said it, to have regimes as friendly as possible with them (specifically in terms of trade). But what I’m saying is that even if Iran’s oil was nationalized, but they weren’t funding groups America hates, them America may fund operations to coup them or something but they wouldn’t be threatening war on them

my point is that working against US interests in the region does not make Iran bad.

Killing hundreds of their own people is.

Are you seriously arguing that America went to a costly 7+ year war with a country just so that 2 oil companies out of a sea of other foreign companies (a lot of Chinese ones actually) there could freely extract oil, even though a small minority of their oil even comes from said country after the fact

that's their own business they need to sort out, which America is not helping with at all, in fact they making it worse for the Iranian people.

I wasn’t saying that’s why they’re bad, they’re bad because they’re a theocracy that sponsors terrorism, much like America they claim to be so opposed to
Literally most of the Canadians in that flight are Persian themselves. The regime literally killed nearly 200 of their own people, on top of the 1500 during the protests, and 50 who got stampeded from the mourning ceremony, in the last few months.
A murderous terrorist regime that needs to step down for the greater good of their own people. Imagine allowing flights to occur while simultaneously shooting missiles towards US military bases in America, not expecting flights to be in the crossfire.
What a bunch of f***ing pathetic morons.

They’re not just killing their own people tho

Yeah, America doesn't care about the Iranian people, that's obvious, but I doubt anybody in the democratic party running for President would care either.
the iran regime is a bunch of thugs the US should topple the supreme leader and install democracy before these lunatics get nukes

the iran regime is a bunch of thugs the US should topple the supreme leader and install democracy before these lunatics get nukes

That was only one of the reasons for why they wanted to get rid of Saddam.

i blame english grammar for instinctively making you want to put a "the" before words with "Uu" sounds
That was only one of the reasons for why they wanted to get rid of Saddam.
It wasn’t the main one, is what I’m saying. And it’s not the main one for Iran either

So what are those reasons according to you?
