It's weird that Drake suddenly paused his rollout after the case was dismissed.

I saw some people (Drake stans included) suggesting that he was holding back Iceman to 'focus on the appeal', but that's a job for his legal team, not Drake himself. This is a man who boasts about never reading his contracts. He's not sitting down with his lawyers every day to discuss the next angle they are going to take in court.

What I think happened is that Drake wrote and recorded the entirety of Iceman under the assumption that he would win the case, with bars about vanquishing Kendrick, exposing bot farms, and bringing down UMG. Now he's either re-recording the album or delaying it in the hopes he wins the appeal.
