This is strictly on a creative/quality front, nothing to do with external factors outside of the movies and music.

Drake and Marvel had a similar trajectory over the years:

At the beginning (Iron Man/So Far Gone) it was a promising upstart with big waves. They struggled to hold up a little (Iron Man 2 - Cap 1/Thank Me Later) then they hit their stride (Take Care/The Avengers). From there they took the crown and ran with it (Phase 2 - 3/NWTS - Views). They reach the height of their popularity (Scorpion/IW & Endgame) then kind of fall to the wayside in quality (Phase 4-5/2020s Drake)

To me both of these things were there for me in high school & college. I’ll always have love for them and anticipate every thing that comes from them. I recognize the drop in quality but I always find something to like. Even through this, they still drop some great stuff (Thunderbolts*/songs like Drew a Picasso or Raining in Houston to name a couple).

Now the next thing they are putting out (Doomsday/Iceman) are kind of make or break for them. They have the chance to redeem themselves fully and get back to their stride, but it’s unclear if it’s going to happen.

    We lost MJP
