Why did Paul change his flow lol? Hate that off-beat flow but this is pretty solid. Message and production are on point
Tbh Im terrible at noticing stuff like on beat or off.
I feel like Paul is just always a bit all over the place because he's focused on stuffing so many dense rhymes in. But never really bothered me. Fits with the crazy production. And personally love the even more angry, off-kilter way he raps as Youngman.
One of my favourite releases of the year. Weird niche stuff I dig.
Rome Streetz and Stove God officially Griselda...looking forward to seeing how that goes...

The opening track is something else, stunning production.

in, definitely checking this tomorrow, i've been meaning to listen to a project by him
don't know why i haven't yet, think i listened to a couple songs off Ajai because of your Serengeti thread and was f***ing with it a lot
reminded me of Rory's music under the Milo moniker a little with the non-conservative flows and dreamy-jazzy production

Definitely finish up listening to Ajai. Brilliant album, and fully produced by Kenny Segal so worth listening off that alone.
And yeah absolutely a comparison to be made. There's no doubt Serengeti had some measure of influence on Rory. Him, Busdriver and Mc Paul Barman are the big 3 I'd say for that whole Chicago 'art rap' scene (Milo, OME, etc.).
Serengeti was actually with Rory just the other month, very cool to see.

makes sense with them basically being OG's of art rap, so far i was only really aware of Busdriver
Holy s*** this new Rahiem Supreme is so good
“Zenith” is my favorite Mastamind beat now.

“Shot Clock Legend”
Uncommon Nasa recently dropped an album that is fully produced by Messiah Musik. It's pretty solid.

Knxwledge did another remix record w/ Kodak, Schoolboy, etc

Nah i like the quirkiness and theme of this. Need more concept albums and less playlists this year for the Underground.. or maybe I already missed some drops?
Telephonebooth
Bo Jackson
Pray For Haiti
Negro
REDBOOK
A YEAR OF OCTOBERS
TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE
Definitely missing others
