Life is hard, that's not an excuse
I liked quite a lot of Kendrick's album. It's a long, draining listen though with some tracks that are pretty average. But the highs are very solid I thought.
Quelle's album is beautiful and heartbreaking and the one I've been returning to.
Just got done the Quelle album and really enjoyed it after three listens. Love, love, love Cui Prodest. Easily in my top 5 soty and can't wait until Denmark is up next.
Kendrick's double album is fairly long so I wanted to take a few days to dive into that. Debating to myself if it's K Dot best work but the Underground is lacking. Just been really disappointed with the releases so far, Especially Jah-Monte and Mach.

Yeah, Cui Prodest is a heavy-hitter for sure.
I've liked all of Mach's EP's so far. Still ain't gotten round to checking out Jah-Monte's new stuff.
Main 2022 underground stuff I've enjoyed to various degrees:
Doof's new one
Nack & Sadhu
Mike Shabb - Sewaside II
Lord Kayso - Moor Chores
Mary Sue - Kisses of Life
Duncecap - Go Climb a Tree
MC Paul Barman - Lovecore
Homeboy Sandman - There in Spirit
Fly Anakin's album
YL's new one
Defcee & Boathouse
Moses Rockwell - Until you run out of cake
Gabe Nandez's new EP
Rahiem Supreme's 2 EP's
AJ Suede's 2 EP's
Quelle and woods of course
Couple UK releases:
Fetch the Poison
Swegasus
Looking forward to ELUCID next month. Serengeti this month hopefully.
Off to see Quelle live now.

Billy just introduced me to Gabe so I'll check that out along with MC Paul and DooF's joints. DM'd you
Man, do yourselves a favour and go see Quelle live.
Easily one of the very best shows I've been too. If not the best. The guy is a powerhouse of a performer. Perfect setlist, entertaining, engaging and the beats absolutely knock.
And what a gem of a human being. Did me a special Patreon subscriber doodle.
And also I of course took the opportunity to ask him about Denmark Vessey's album. He told me he must have heard about 3 or 4 versions of it now. And while he thinks each one has been perfect and the album is more than good enough to release, and has been for basically 2 years now, Denmark himself is still not fully satisfied. It is still called 'The Sun Looks Up to Us'.
He said the hope is it will come out this year but Denmark is a perfectionist. He said it's looking likely that the Crown Nation X Alchemist album will actually come out before.

Saw him post his america tour dates so I hope I can get to one of those, I saw armand hammer w injury reserve last night and if you haven’t seen woods yet after that show I can honestly say he’s the best writer alive. Met him after the show but didn’t get a pic, great guy. Artists like him and quelle really one in a billion, praying he comes to NC

Hope you can too. Amazing show. And yep seen Armand Hammer twice now. Unbelievable live as well. Was lucky enough to speak with woods for an extended amount of time before the first show. Could not have been a more pleasant and engaging guy. Would not oppose the best writer alive tag, at least certainly in hip hop.

Good lil project
Divino saying nigga now….
If you’re talking about the Nack album, that’s actually Erg One talking at the end of that song and saying the n-word.

Oh ok lmao. That makes sense
Prodigy’s entire solo catalog has finally hit all DSPs. Even Hegelian Dialectic. Joe the Engineer said Part 2 should be out this year.
RIP to the GOAT.
