The underground is slowly starting to become more and more competitive lyrically. I’m seeing a lot of artists try out different flows from their last project and different sounds too.

The underground scene is boiling hot competitively speaking and taking risks and experimenting with different sounds is how you get the buzz vs mainstream rap which is at a creative stalemate because record labels only care about record sells since deviating from the norm runs the risk of losing sells.
