Maybe it's about who can make the most exclusive project ever. I don't know at this point, but NOBODY is talking about these albums. Not in interviews, blogs, magazines, social media; nothing but a few Sadhu tweets and then it disappears
I sincerely wonder how are artists making money with Sadhu only having projects up for 24 hours?
Canât be too much? I would imagine the only people buying them are Sadhu. fans who feel like spending the $35 or whatever, and then whichever fans of the artist heâs collabing with who happen to find out about the drop in time to cop.
New Tyron venture, CCTV. Interviews coming with BWLR, Billie Essco, Buck Dudley, Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon, VDON, Willie the Kid, Left Lane Didon, Radamiz, J. Scienide, BoriRock, MichaelAngelo & B. Cool-Aid, plus his Dollar Menu Special interview with Mach and Fahim is back up to rent.

Listening to the Spook x Sadhu record
Why does it feel like a lot of "underground" guys just kind of vomit out a million verses over some loops and call it a day? Like even working with the same producers or just not having strong concepts or ideas. They've got YB boy slow down energy

The conflation of exclusivity/rarity for greatness is through the roof nowadays. Mach f***ed the whole game up đđ
Albeit Mach was making incredible music back when he was doing it

I get feeling this way about the first No Country but No Country II has a clear theme, focused writing, etc.

But are the songs distinct from each other? Is the chorus distinct from the verse? Like what's a discernible moment on the album that sticks out to you?
Again, first listen, and I was commenting more on the zeitgeist at large.

I mean, itâs a Western-themed record so a lot of the production reflects that and could sound samey on first listen. I donât personally care about rap songs having choruses, so the no-chorus trend doesnât bother me. Do you want him to sing?
Plenty of moments stick out to me on the album. Love Spookâs writing on this in general but especially the storytelling on âMurder in the Monsoonâ and âGin Mill Shootoutâ, love the âMysteries of the Frontierâ beat, love the âTake a Hard Rideâ beat, the âSpaghetti Shotsâ beat, the âDirty Dartâ beat. My main gripe is the features, particularly DøøF and MidaZ, their verses just kind of take up space.

There's not a lot of Underground rapper that do concept albums like Ka, Quelle Chris, billy, ELUCID, Moor Mother, KING VISION ULTRA, WSG at times, etc.
I personally don't mind good/great loops and also don't find Curren$y interesting unless he's doing some ALC or Cardo s***.

no Curren$y slander
Everything is else fair game and you do have a point even though I find Spook more interesting than a lot of underground cats
