I think a lot of y’all love TLOP more than you do cause of nostalgia. It’s a good album but it’s bottom tier Kanye.

It grew on me, incredible replay value and maybe his most diverse album. It has a cohesive theme and narrative too, I think it’s fire

How is it cohesive and what’s the theme?

10/10 generational classic

Its the dichotomy of light vs dark, faith vs. non-faith
The album is Ye struggling to be the husband and father he needs to be, but fighting the trappings and pitfalls of fame, fortune and the hedonistic lifestyle he's lived
songs explore his inner psychology and insecurities as well as different states of mind, thats why I think the diversity and range makes sense, its portraying all the different sides/emotions of the same character, hence the life of pablo. It's a really well written album imo

Ok but to be fair, do you think that’s where Ye mind was actually at? How does that translate on songs like FSMH, Famous, Facts, Highlights and Waves? Only songs I think you can make a case for his consistency is the run from FML to Wolves, which I feel like is one of his best 3 track runs ever. I feel like he went into the album without a direction and I’ll say that it worked and he’s followed this same formula ever since and it’s been hit or miss.
KSG we know for a fact was supposed to be an album of redemption and therapy based on the Cudi doc and even parts of Jeen-Yuhs.

hahah I can give you an essay on this if you want, but I get that the album can feel like its all over the place. To me the narrative is most clear from ULB - Franks Track.
ULB being an overture, the first stretch of the album from FSMH - Freestyle4 i think are about the darker and more turbulent sides of the character. These songs driven by ego, fear, paranoia, insecurity. Theyre super braggadocios and manic
then from waves to Frank Track theyre much more emotional and self-reflective and love/family/faith oriented. I love this run of tracks as well like you said
KSG is so far removed from underrated it hurts my heart anyone would say it is
It makes me actually mad
Something wrong wit me
Why do yall make these kinds of threads when people are just gonna post albums they like
