Superhot - very stylistic and interesting mechanics
Ace Combat -literally the only arcade fighter pilot game
Chibi robo - combining Toy Story and Japanese story writing
Might think of some others idk

Inscryption and Nier: automata are unique in the way they genre-shift constantly
Tlou2 tears apart the protagonist vs antagonist structure
Death stranding is the first strand-type game
The witness and tunic have very unique puzzle mechanics
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Not a lot of games deal with mental health, and they conveyed the voices in her head when using headphones was pretty chilling
Returnal actually shares a lot of those themes as well

Real for mentioning Tlou 2 in this context
People say Sony is pretty risk averse nowadays but their arguably biggest franchise took a very big risk with how they did the story

World of Goo

Fortnite - kid friendly artstyle and building mechanic
Persona 5 - Combining life sim and JRPG mechanics. Also the artstyle, even the menus are really stylish and beautiful. I know SMT exists but Persona 5 the only one I played so Idk how similar they are
Nier Automata - the combination of genres, the philosophical plot (I only finished A, so Idk what's in store for me)
Shadow of the Colossus - I've never played anything like it
Burnout series - can't really think of any other racing game that encourages and rewards causing damage like it does
Shadow of the Colossus
One of my favorite games of all time
There’s nothing out there like Death Stranding. Imo the best game from last Gen. Aside RDR2
Condemned Criminal Origins
The only horror game of it's kind where you get to actually fight back and not run n hide

There are a lot of games like this. What do you mean by “of it’s kind” tho

JSR is one of those games i cant explain like it was so good and i dont even want a remake of it becayse i know they cant recreate the feeling it just to good

Bomb rush cyberphunk is not only restoring the feeling, but also expanding the gameplay mechanics. Look into it
The devs (team reptile) are the only ones I trust with a JSR successor. They get what made JSR special
Feel like people are misunderstanding me. Fortnite is pretty unique in its mechanics and impact, but it’s not what I’m looking for. I’m talmbout them “wtf is this” games. Them crazy distinct offbeat games
Danganronpa series
Ace Attorney
Zero Escape
Killer7/Killer is Dead
Lollipop Chainsaw
No More Heroes
