But folks like Amy Heckerling, Nicole Holofcener, Susan Seidelman still made some of the best ones tbh

S***, Heckerling made one of the greatest films for the fellas with Fast Times at Ridgemont High. And James L. Brooks got some incredible romantic dramadies

So I aint buying that "not for us" cop out people make.

Catherine Breillat made Anatomy of Hell. So is that supposed to be for me cause the lead man is gay? Or not for me cause he f***s a woman the whole runtime? Or not for me cause a woman directed it? Someone draw me a diagram pls

Peaky Blinders is extremely overrated. It just takes itself way more seriously than it often ends up being presented with enough of a disconnect that I'm unsure whether it's the point (maybe it eventually was). It is entertaining enough though, i found the plot particularly enjoyable in the first two seasons

sure. Tbh, your joke above appears more like hyperbolic examples that just scream the loudest. After all, what are you able to do about your enjoyment? It's intersectional theory gone wrong. Backstabbing yourself and shutting down discourse.

I'm convinced people who like The Witch are doing it because they're afraid to get called a contrarian if they don't. It's one of the most boring movies I've seen

tbh gave the witch 2/5 first watch
    4.5/5 on rewatch

watched it in the dark by myself and it hit waaay harder but to call it 'the scariest horror movie in recent years' is the biggest reach i've ever heard media call it

Tom Cruise in Collateral is a GOAT tier villain and he should do more roles where he's the bad guy

Was awesome as Les Grosman too, he's perfomances apart from action roles are generally underrated.

Andrew Garfield is/was the best Peter Parker on the big screen. He could pull off a high school Peter Parker, and if given the chance would’ve able to showcase a great adult Peter Parker.

Yep. New nigga they got is terrible.

Nothing. I just said they're overrated.

"Overrated" doesn't necessarily mean they're bad filmmakers, or even that I dislike their films.

I dont really like Sean Baker's own films but he's got an awesome taste in film and seems like a fun guy to hangout with
