Disney's/pixar staple of killing parents is crazy because other animated flicks (seemingly) feel obligated to kill parents too
I know disney weren't the first and that killing parents is an ancient troupe but it is interesting to see how popular entities can influence everything

The comedy roasts are some weird s*** because everyone gets "regular" jokes but all the Black celebrities just get hit with Black jokes
You can tell that the comedians don't know them well enough to come up with something clever so it's like "damn I know whats funny and the audience will laugh with, the Black experience "

Everybody Loves Raymond was an super average show that was carried by the father and Robert.

The comedy and storylines were just way too predictable and cliche. You can literally spot the punchline from a mile away and time when the audience will laugh. And Raymond was lowkey the least funniest and most unlikeable out of all the main characters

And the plots that didn't center around Robert felt too generic and uninteresting.

Honestly, Ray's father with his clapbacks and Robert with his side stories made the show while Ray himself was the worst main character.

Directors really be having the plot set in the 80s and 90s just so they can force audiences to listen to their favorite songs and see the toys they played with and hear the f***ed up things they used to say

agree with that all. it's kinda like seinfeld to me.

seinfeld is the most boring character on the show and only has a few interesting storylines

Seinfeld is a great show to me but I agree with you on Seinfeld himself. Jerry's acting was borderline 4th wall at times with how amateur it was.

But the humor was still very clever and well written and eventually paved the way for Curb Your Enthusiasm which basically perfected the Seinfeld formula.

Same thing I see in shows where every joke towards a black character is about them being black. You can tell when c***writers never had any black friends.
