Crazy Stupid Love is literally about a woman cheating on a man and the movie positions it as the man being the problem for not being manly enough and throughout the whole movie for some f***ed up reason, it’s on him to save the relationship (as if he even should in the first place). And it’s one of the most loved rom coms in recent memory.

The amount of breaks women get is staggering

Young Sheldon is doing an arc right now where a 17 year old boy had a baby with a 29 year old woman. That s*** wouldn't even be thought of if the sexes were reversed. The age of consent in the state the show is set in is 17 btw.

It takes way too long to lock in emotionally. I get that it’s trying to be subversive, but the majority is honestly standard gangster cliches we’ve seen a million times. Yeah, the tiredness is the point, but just cause you’re commenting on it doesn’t mean you get a pass when that’s most of your movie.

it's definitely informed by societal views on the matter but i was just extremely surprised by the lack of reaction from critics/reviewers.

also i hated how the film itself portrays it as charming and quirky. even beyond the relationship issue, overall i thought the film lacked focus - it's not really about anything.

It’s my 2nd least fav Bong but I def prefer it to Parasite. I liked how eccentric the cast was and how it still had the crazy worldbuilding qualities to it that prime Bong works had. Parasite just felt like cheap oscarbait
