Oh nah I meant like you know how he ends his movies now more on like holding out on the big set up of the finale action scene? usually it comes around together, but here it really feels more like okay i did this and that in my hommages now time to wrap it up and use that Manson stuff and it goes all out but it’s just idk goofy somehow here
I can see it more being subtle so that’s why I hold back on my judgement, it’s definitely a slow burn yeah and I like how it’s unlike anything else out but at the same time I felt the execution of that was too safe.. if that makes sense, I see that free flowing thing you say tho
Mine is def Jackie Brown then Reservoir Dogs and afternoon Kill Bill, I guess it see both volumes as one I don’t know which one to pick I’ll have to rewatch them
Dam, this would've gotten unnoticed nigga tag me
Lol yeah, but it's only late Tarantino-esque in that it is overblown. The final scene more than sets it apart from the rest of his filmography. Darlton getting to be the hero, Tate being with us, and the film ending on a note of bringing the old and new Hollywood together. It's beautiful af. Eerie. There's so many nuggets in this film it's ridiculous, might not be my favorite of his but it's one of his most descriptive and poetic flicks yet and so personal that one can at least admire Quentin for it.
Jackie Brown definitely the bottom for me tho, that and Death Proof lol. But it's cool to see many of y'all here on KTT ride for it. But ngl, that's the only Tarantino film that I haven't had a chance to return to need a rewatch asap

My bad homie
I can see Jackie being divisive in how it’s the only Tarantino movie adapted of a book, not that the book goes way out of his style but idk I see more subtle act in it and the chemistry of Pam Grier and Rob Foster (RIP) really drives the movie too, also isn’t it one of De Niro last real good movie? lol it feels almost indie in hindsight and in the best way, music, performances, the deal with different angles, I love it, that beautiful ending man, polar opposite to OUATIH

Just finished watching a interview of Pam Grier and Tarantino. And f***, even in Grier's late 40s she was such a baddie yo my God, I'm watching it tonight just by the strength of her fine ass
George Lucas is a hack fraud.
he started with a good idea that was molded into a classic franchise by his superior peers surrounding him that were actually making sure that he didn’t s*** the bed with the original trilogy.
and even to this very day he still f***s with that trilogy by adding horrible s*** to it and ruining iconic moments.
Do you know where i can watch the changed star wars scene with Han? (without disney)

Yeah that one edit is the weirdest in his history of edits, I can’t get behind it, starting to think he doing to get a reaction out of it and just troll lol

He did it again, having mans say "macklunkey" before drawing his weapon against Solo. This nigga George's wyyyylin at this point he's doing it as a big "fuck you" to Disney he don't care
Edit: Oh, thought Emery meant the old clip, misread

Lol at the end of the day he gave us Star Wars man, chill
like i said the cast and crew behind him were the true talents of this man’s whole career.
Don’t get me wrong George did contribute a lot and he is still the one responsible for it’s existence.
but especially now given that he’s shown how bad a lot of his ideas are and how insecure he got when people weren't receptive to his prequel trilogy.
He really exposed himself as a hack

It’s the most jarring s*** imaginable.
like it takes me so out of the film
