These are all decent except the third one. Musicals ain't really my thing
Mine either, hate em. But La La Land did something to me
Also because I watch La La Land and that s*** is so joyous and optimistic.
Moonlight the saddest s*** ever with no real upside to the story being told in that film. Film should make you feel and evoke strong emotions for sure but Moonlight is borderline poverty struggle p***
la la land blows
There's not many of us, not everyday I run across a Cloud Atlas supporter. Reaaaal
🥺🥺
I get emotional every time I watch it. seeing it on LSD was a trip.
I know the make up effects aren't aren't great and seeing actors play other ethnicities is something that might rub some people the wrong way but I just don't see any other way the movie would work.
agreed, feel like the only misguided attempt at ethnicity swap was the yellowface in the neo seoul segment and idk how you could avoid it
Been saying this for years. Thanos and Dr Strange we’re the only characters with depth. Everything else blah

Plus some of the accents were just terrible and kinda offensive (Keith David’s asian accent and Bae Doona’s mexican accent), don’t think it was ill intentioned tho. I’ve heard people say it would just been better if they just hired other actors to play the same roles but it would’ve made things allot harder to make connections between the characters. On first viewing it was already hard recognizing some of the actors in heavy make up. I didn’t know Hugh Laurie played the cannibal and Halle played the asian scientist til after I seen the behind the scene cuts lol

yeah plus it would be missing the idea about connection through the ages (even if in the end it would be just one segment). it wasn't ill intentioned at all just feels bad that it prevented viewers from fully connecting with the movie :sadblu:
and
i swear some of them must have only appeared for 1 second in some parts
Batman Returns, Sin City, & Watchmen are so superior to anything MCU related.
TDKR biggest let down in the history of cinema gorgeous looking movie without a brain.
Mortal Engines is good movie .
Would have been a dope tv series
Also should have been 2 movies to explore and explain the world building.
a serious man is the best Coen film
honestly yah
People watching movies that only make them feel good in the end explains the comfort inn marvel joints

You mean effectively setting up and paying off an amazing 3rd act from the first and second act?
I agree
@Brave amazing third act is the debateable part there is only so many times you can see the heroes journey done before you get bored with the same tropes .

Eh I guess amazing for the audience in terms of following it and being entertained and satisfied by it
Which is evidently harder for other studios to achieve with their cheap summer blockbusters
