I don’t think GOTG is for me. I saw both of them in theaters and left both movies feeling like I wasted money. I like v1 way more than v2 but still both very lackluster.

The ending for v1 really just takes me out of it. The dancing is just too out there for me to vibe with it. Other than Drax it’s not very funny. His humor only hits the first 2 times you watch it. After that it’s just a ‘ha’.

V2 I think I only like Nebula. Everything else was highly forgettable. Ego was a joke. Don’t think I actually laughed during the movie. The ending again was just like ‘a so that’s it?’ They’re both in my bottom tier MCU movies.

Its not as complicated as you're making it, I just dont like the villian, he was boring for me, nothing interested me about his story.

It isn't trash. The sequel just isn't directed by Denis Villeneuve and you can't recreate the atmosphere he creates. The mansion scene is still better than anything in part 2. Nothing is really memorable in the sequel, tbh.

i hated the lack of effort towards an actual plot,

also going from king of comedy straight into taxi driver then raging bull, its like the taxi driver was that outcast middle child that was failed to be raised properly surrounded by other siblings (i.e raging bull and mean streets) that went off the excel in life.

the movie is the most sore thumb movie martin has in his catalog/ no movie martin has directed ever come close to what taxi driver is and instead of criticizing it as a bad movie, we glorify it as "hIs bEsT fiLm"

the drastic shift towards "nut case travis" was hella forced too and could've been built up better. that shift in the movie really soiled it.

Its not an AWFUL movie, just not as glamours as people portray it to be. I dont think people should compare it to his other masterpieces.

The score is top notch tho....
