MM is personal in a different way from Herbert in that it has a laser-focused, relentless heaviness to it which can be overwhelming to listen to.
As for which one is better, personal choice. THIB was just ayt to me, Herbert is okay but not great, SOS is my s***, Mr Morale is good but I haven't listened since it came out.

I agree with the first paragraph. Mr. Morale is not an easy listen like TPAB and thus an album like Herbert that doesn’t cross into that territory is automatically going to be preferred more.

The fact people are still bringing up and comparing MM half a year after it dropped tells me Kendrick fulfilled his purpose with the album. If it really “came and went” like certain users like to spout off, then there wouldn’t be the dialogue presented for it that there is on here.
