Dying Light is one of the most mid tier games to ever exist and the sequel doesn’t deserve the amount of hype it’s getting. Like everything about it is “fine” but looking at the way people talk about it you’d think it was some revolutionary classic.
Now this is a real unpopular opinion
Most of what made the game so fun was the parkour. Just a well made coop zombie rpg after the failures that were both dead island games
Last of us 2 winning goty over Hades was a ridiculous robbery and worst of all some people paraded it as this win for lgbt when the lot2 representation is absolutely garbage and forced while Hades actually turned out to be an absolute favorite in the gay community.
It has clearly the better romance, character development, more genuine people despite being all around gods and doesnt force old homophobic stereotypes and viewpoints
Apex Legends in the best BR on the market right now and probably will be for some time

Not unpopular. a lot would agree considering it’s facts
Skill issue
journalist gave the game a bad rating because they couldn't get past the tutorial

def not unpopular, has the pro market cornered, hard to see anything knocking it off soon, I think the opportunity for a new BR to explode has mostly come and gone (first mover advantage, pandemic/lockdown was a huge boost)
warzone keeps on shooting itself in the foot and fort doesn't seem to be doing much in the adult audience

On god. For how much TLOU2 was praised for its representation Hades felt like a much more genuine and natural appeal to the queer community, whereas the representation in TLOU2 at times felt like it was there just to get ahead of the criticism of the game tbh, and I say this as someone who liked it quite a bit.
“TLOU2 is great and the only people who disagree are bigots” is a phrase I’ve seen far too often
It Takes Two is a perfect example of how low the bar still is for video game stories. The dialog is almost entirely self referential, well that just happened, Joss Whedon-ized bullshit. It's a story about divorce, love and family but it fails to look at any of those things beyond a surface level glance. There's quite literally nothing to think about or to look deeper into. Whatever a character says is exactly how they feel, no nuance, no complexity, no depth, nothing. It's all extremely surface level. Because of this, Cody and May end up being incredibly boring and generic. Yet nearly every review talks about its amazing story and characters. We've reached a point where audiences are getting tired of that Whedon style of writing in film but when it gets transferred into a video game it gets universal praise for its ability to create characters and stories. I'm sorry, I just don't see how anyone could consider this story to be a masterpiece or even above average.
Since i'm not gonna rain on their parade on launch weekend but Pokemon fans are the biggest suckers of the industry
FPS genre is just social media rn

2K fans tbh
Cyberpunk is one of the best immersive story games ever made. Idc I can’t hear you over your low-graphic quality cards wheezing hard af tryna run it. F*** off out of it & be a big boy.
