You’ll get f***ed as a beginner in For honor, but the learning curve isn’t unrealistic. I think more fighting games should take cues from for honor. It’s a fighting game style for a new generation. Absolver was good but it died pretty quick. I think sifu may be similar but I don’t know much about that game

If anything, this is the absolute easiest time to get into them. While not all of them are great, more and more of them are implementing detailed tutorials to help the player understand the game. MK11 and Skullgirls tutorials are really good in doing this. Hell, MK11 lets you tag moves and see them in game as you fight.

The ladder to get into them really isn’t has tall as people think it is, especially with YouTube tutorials, Twitter, discord etc. Tutorials could be better, but it’s not the reason why people aren’t playing them

I liked that part, getting into the loop of using grenades, the flamethrower and grappling hook to stay alive was really fun, but I get that if you're not into it then the game's gonna suck since it basically depends on you learning those patterns

This applies to most huge open world/RPGs for me. I instantly get turned off by games that boast a massive playtime as a selling point. As I get older, I’m gravitating toward linear experiences and games that I can pick up and play quickly like Tetris or lumines
