I see this song as relating the black man's plight to other values that other races stereotypical uphold. When u think about it in the context of the world, blacks are always seen as being at the bottom.

And referencing what kendrick said about black people in i and some interviews he feels like we won't overcome our predicament and climb to the top when we're instill with stereotypical ideals and actions, chasing p****, gang violence, etc.

A lot of rappers touch on this ideal, ye did it on new slaves, hov on story of oj.
