The truth about that Grace scene is Ryan needed a way for the vampires to go back into the barn to push the plot forward and that was the lazy route he went.

It’s lazy because the character very clearly could’ve made a smarter choice in that moment but instead went the route that assisted the plot.

I’m always character over plot and hate seeing characters make a decision solely to service the plot.
