This film was extremely allegorical and personal, it felt like the vampires were almost a tool than the actual driving force of the story. If they did a sequel, it feels like they’d have no other choice but to Fast and Furious-it and completely jump the shark by just making it a vampire action flick
I actually feel like they he left a lot of room to maneuver if he did want to make a sequel. Like concepts that were not explored. Places they could take it further. But it also functions very well on its own. I'm on board with anything Coogler wants to do. He's got a fan in me. He's on that Jordan Peele level.

But with Smoke dead would he just do a vampire sequel with Stack?
is it just me or is anyone else confused by what the mid credits scene was trying to tell? so you had mbj and hailee still alive for 60 years just being vampires and adding to their cause, but didnt try to attack anyone at the bar? and he said that smoke said to stay away from preacher boy, but after turning into a vampire why would he even listen to that?

100% it makes zero sense honestly
just pay attention to what's in the spoilers and ignore the rest of the post
Also, I'm higher than giraffe box rn
crine thought you were asking about a s***scene or something q the googly moogly
Hailee was incredibly sexy in this. The accent, the attitude. S*** had me thinking she really is mixed wit a little black.

Maybe without ol irish boy at the head, they're not as drone like as they were at first. like they said they live on after whoever bit them bites the dust. Perhaps they came into some more agency once he burned up.
I think the rage of the main guy kind of passed into all of them since he made all of them, and that's why they were wilding like that. Maybe they act different now that he's gone. At least that's my theory.

how they didn’t die from the sun like everyone else?

Wait she is mixed with black
how they didn’t die from the sun like everyone else?
I guess they ran off? I don’t remember seeing that
how they didn’t die from the sun like everyone else?
they were noticeably absent from the entire last confrontation where everyone burned up. I remember thinking it was weird because i was wondering why did they let hailee and MBJ's characters burn up off screen like that?

damn you be #noticing
i c u bro..
my only minor gripe is I wish they didn’t show Hailee as a vamp in the teasers cause I started to put together what was gonna happen when the three vampires showed up to the party
im raving bout this movie and need to get out this thread and go to sleep, but one more thing
I've never seen a post credits scene which added to a movie more than this one. Like It literally bookends the movie in the craziest way, and isn't a gimmick at all.
Once again that midpoint music performance was insane. This is what “musicals” should strive for.
I thought the one with Preacher Boy performing was cool. It was a big swing. The sequence with Jayme Lawson on stage though was the highlight of the film for me
Amazing
Loved the setup and world-building in the first half, didn't feel bored at all. My friend didn't connect with it though.
However, everyone loved the second half.
MBJ is such a powerhouse, I'm surprised he's not in more blockbusters.
Ryan made such a great comeback from Black Panther 2.
That music scene was obviously the highlight and dont think I've had goosebumps like that watching a movie in a long time.

I think she actually is mixed
I think she actually is mixed
Hailee’s mom is mixed in the way that Isaiah Hartenstein is mixed. So Hailee even less so but I guess technically.
The reception this is getting is catching me off guard. That trailer did nothing for me.
