Yeah i wasn’t expecting it to be ignored. I just wanted it to be intelligently introduced and handled and it sounds like it is.

You won't be disappointed (I hope), personally I don't think it's heavy handed at all. I wouldn't call this a "black trauma" film if that's what worries you.

Speaking on a recent episode of Last Podcast on the Left (via Screen Rant), Coogler said he plans to hit the ground running, working on The X-Files once the dust has settled from his Sinners press tour.

“I’m working on X-Files. That’s what’s immediately next,” Coogler said. “So, I’ve been excited about that for a long time, and I’m fired up to get back to it, and that, you know, some of those episodes, if we do our jobs right, will be really f***ing scary.”

I'd figured they let this one last in theaters longer because I think this film is capable of being a huge hit

Think this one might be a sleeper hit hopefully where more and more people go to see this each weekend.

And I think the difference between this and Mickey 17 is people are actually buying tickets to watch Sinners unlike Mickey 17 which almost no one went to see in theaters

I believe there's a financial threshold for them to hold a film

I know for Universal if a film doesn't open over $50 million they send it to digital after 17 days
