one thing i was thinking
i think its sad that all the ppl in town will just never know what happened to their loved ones that night. Cornbread's wife and kids. Grace and Bo's daughter. Etc.
I was thinking that everyone wouldnt know what happened, but would blame Smoke and Stack for the disappearances.
But now that I think about it, Smoke's body was likely found with all the dead KKK members.
I'm guessing the conclusion came to by the public was likely that the KKK was responsible for the disappearances of all those ppl. What happened to the bodies is a mystery, but they just conclude the KKK are responsible.
they either assume Smoke was involved, and had a fall out with them. Or Smoke got away, and came back to kill the KKK members.
Very none important. But i thought thinking of society's reaction to this is interesting
sucks that we'll probably won't get another original coogler film until the 2030s.

my initial thought would be that Sammie told the story, but that’s f\*\*\*in dumb on my part 💀💀I think the idea that everyone in town probably thinks the KKK is responsible makes the most sense. On top of the fact that I’m sure nobody would really think to second guess or question them out of fear
I said a tik-tok, the tikkie, the tikkie
To the tik, tik-tok and you don't stop the tokin'
Wtf were niggas wearing back in the day man
Wtf were niggas wearing back in the day man
Dudes rocked mesh crop tops and bellybutton rings in the 80s
Yup definitely can relate. Grew up baptist, my aunts and uncles and grandma / grandpa were all pastors in my family so Christianity was intregal in my life but as an adult, like you I always have this thought in the back of my head of practicing a religion that forced on us.
My guy
I really hate this type of reporting. Why can’t this just be considered a win for Coogler and original films???
Wanna go see it again so bad and I’ve never seen a movie twice at the theatre
Wtf were niggas wearing back in the day man
Hilarious that this era was more homophonic too
What was the paper money Annie had in the scene where she was introduced? Confederate dollars?
So Majors definitely would've been Stack, right?
If you watch some of Ryan’s interviews about preparing for the movie, no. Not unless he was suppose to take MBJ’s role entirely as Smoke & Stack. Seems to be they were always suppose to be twins. Could the movie work as them just being brothers? Yea it could, and that’s about it. It’s just fan casting to further admonish Majors imo.
My girl for the first 30 mins of the movie thought they found another actor who actually looked similar enough to MBJ before realizing he’s playing both brothers
This was f***ing fantastic. Wish I knew there was a post credit scene. Had to watch it on tik tok
Yeah a lot of people missed it, luckily the MCU has programmed me to stay even if there isn't one

https://twitter.com/variety/status/1914007485696102677Variety is in cahoots with streamers and studio execs. They've recently started focusing heavily on numbers and profitability reporting in an effort to paint non-IP and/or theatrical releases in a negative light

“They cousins”
Facts bro! I think that level of nuance and detail is key, where each character has their own personal reaction to something that stems from their backstory.
I’m wondering how long Ryan had the idea for this story and how long he took just fleshing out the characters.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he started doing character work during his time at Marvel. You know like on the side just plotting out his Opus ahead of time until he was finally able to fully make the film.
As a storyteller, bro is an inspiration. Love that he's doing his thing to this level right now. Makes me want to get off my ass and get my creative juices flowing.

Prolly another 10 years with him doing x files and BP3
It’s crazy to think we’ve only gotten 2 non IPs from him. And realistically this is the only film he cooked up 100% from no other story but his own
