My dad wasn't f***ing with the dance jukebox scene s*** got too weird for him
Tbh when the random guy playing the guitar showed up it immediately took me out of the scene. I thought the scene was cool but it had to win me back at that point because my initial reaction was not f***ing with it.
Maybe if the guy would've been more of a Hendrix stand-in rather than Bootsy Collins. I would've been more bought in from the jump.
Respectfully, that was midpack
First half was great
Second half just felt silly genuinely

So you didnt enjoy the vampire part of a vampire movie
Idk if anyone has made this connection yet but Sinners is kinda a classic house party movie. It fits perfectly into that genre of films.
You got your first act of getting everything prepped for the party, second act of the party going well and people hooking up, then the third act of s*** hitting the fan.

i gave it a heart tho..
and when i give something a heart on lbxd it can mean one or more of these things:
2.5 stars or below w heart = i know this movie is ass but i love it anyways
heart = extra .25 added to the score
3-3.5 stars w heart = this movie wasn’t all the way for me but i can still respect it and understand why other ppl are giving it 4-5 stars
shoutout the heart button on lbxd fr mane one of my favorite buttons fasho

Lol I love how our opinions on the heart button are the exact opposite
i was just having this convo with my coworkers the other day. I was telling em that the heart button feels pointless to me cuz if I’m rating something 3.5 stars or higher, I obviously like it. Why do I need to add a heart to it? But fair points sir
