People will bite you in every way imaginable

You can’t be mad at that s*** either

    You signed up for it

I wish more people understood that is the game

It’s fake s*** everywhere. Everything comes at a cost, if you not ready to have “clones” of you then make better music or stop giving a f*** bout it

    Nothing is “yours”

    Please understand that

    This goes for producers too

You really gotta be unemotional about s***

Cus as soon as you get in you have to stay relevant as well

You’ll end up doing the same thing sooner or later

When the “sound” changes you have to keep up or get left behind

Why you think Drake so relevant still

You would think most of this would be common sense to people who are or seeking to become a artist

Right but it’s really not with most

I see so many subs from established artists going at others for stealing their “sound”

I truly do understand the frustration but also they NEED to know that’s it’s going to happen regardless

i agree with the thread but let’s not act like this is it

labels are still trash for making niggas sell their lives at a young age

most them niggas seeing money for the first time in their lives, ofc a lot of them not gonna make the best decisions

    I respect what you’re saying

Let’s also not forget, though. The labels DO make their situation 100% better.

Are they getting all the money they deserve? No.

They provide a lifestyle to get them out of where they were. This is very very overlooked.

So the real question is. Are they at fault for changing their life? Or... do niggas get greedy once they learn the business?

Also, the knowledge that being on a (major) label gives is worth getting f***ed over business wise.

People need to see the good in situations, rather than the negatives.

Nobody is going to hold your hand in this life. You have to maneuver with all the information you gain. I don’t have sympathy.

This will be my last point.

Let’s compare going to college to joining a label

Since contracts are about the same time.

You go to college & you learn in the courses you attend. Although, no matter what, if you don’t network, and set yourself up for post-grad life. You will be f***ed.

    It’s the same concept
