@s Any plans for Android in the future (Kotlin is comparable to Swift or so I've been told)?

definitely, and if i go with jetpack compose I'll be making as a lot of use of those similarities to cut dev time, although web will come before Android native. The fact is android is such a small % of users that going with true native iOS development first just makes sense.
To answer your question about why ML instead of manual user tagging: less friction and better UX. It needs to be seamless since this stuff is at the core of much of the platform revamp (and based on experience people simply won't tag)
There's also a lot of NLP involved in every part of this (more info at some point), and since it's something I've wanted to do for a long time it just felt like a good fit as one of the first things I implement. I definitely spent more time on it than I needed to but I've learned a lot of useful skills for features going forward.

Nice! Excited to see the future state of the web version and the app release.
Makes sense with the less friction / UX point for tagging. However, I'm curious if you're going to be displaying tags within posts at all (e.g. if you post in Music section and it's a Hip Hop/Ye post, will it show two separate tags within the post title?)
@team clicking the background of a Twitter embed here and it opens a tab twice. Is it just me? Desktop.

can u show an example? i noticed twitter just updated their embeds again so it could be related.
some people said they want to see some kind of update so here's a screenshot dump
these are some relatively old mockups now but stuff im implementing on the backend atm
home screen running live in The App™ with placeholder data
live in xcode
recently switched from react native to swift. this made the timeframe longer but i dont want the app to be held back by RN limitations, cant disappoint after so many delays.
recent mockup for posting thread updates so the replies make sense. this was thrown together in an couple hours a few days back. still up in the air
ignore typos/layout issues lol
tentative mockup for article embeds
total mess of files left over from training ML models (in this case for automatically tagging threads with relevant artists)
more old screenshots
(on a web browser btw)
Why can we not delete our own threads? Is this a mobile only issue I'm seeing or ? We can lock threads, change titles but cant delete them?

Seems like it's fixed now.

always been like this unless it's only got 1 page iirc. you can make a thread in help asking for threads to be removed tho
yo wtf is good with the ads on mobile right now? every single page i click has an entire screen ad that i cant even reply to any threads after clicking out…
