What china does is flood the foreign exchange market w Yuan by buying dollars n s***. This devalues their currency. That means their exports are cheaper than they should be. Right now, they justify this because devaluing a currency is a reasonable policy to boost a countries economy and china’s economy has been slowing down.
Right now, China has stopped that s*** bc the WTO thinks its sus. The worst it could do if it started again would be to hurt domestic american producers, but that can be taken care of w tariffs or subsidies.
China has a lot of ways 2 f*** us up but currency manipulation is not one
