..my personal standards for RnB vocalists are a lot higher than their basic poptart counterparts. Vocal showmanship and interpretive wit is STILL a cornerstone that gives our genre the soul and identity it has. RnB is still rhythm and BLUES.

"I'm not saying The Weeknd can sing better than Usher" - I didn't imply that you did, I'm referring to Weeknd's merit as a vocalist on his own. He's pretty mediocre to actually good singers.. matter of fact his actual singing style skill and prowess is closer to Drake and Bryson Tiller than it is to a Gallant, Luke James or Tank. U

"everyone knows usher is classically trained" - Now, why are you volunteering lies like that breh.. You know damned well Usher is not a classically trained vocalist and his musical styling doesn't have anything to do with his actual skill in any vocal capacity (and Weeknds lack thereof).

I just know the falsettto he hit sounded amazing" - Breh, you showed me a pitchy ass Eb5 at 3:00 that not only had bad intonation, but it was weak as hell and you think it's amazing. Your ears like dissonance and I don't trust them.. I have amusia brochures if you'd like a few packets..

all I'm saying Usher sings in a style of rnb that the weeknd does not. Your bias is towards the gallants, tanks, that style of singing and that's fine

The falsetto sounds good to me and 99% of other people, I'm not a vocal coach like you bruh

Usher has more vocal training and skin in the game than The Weeknd, plan and simple

You trying to argue that the weeknd is a bad singer is not looking good on your part

Yeah this man used to be known for his ego.

He once beat up one of his idols (Bobby brown) for insulting the way he sings or some s*** like that

Singing style has nothing to do with the skill or breadth of your talent as a vocalist. Stop using this excuse Usher, Tank and Gallant are better vocalists and it has nothing to do with their stylistics. They would outsing human MJ vocodor singing his own songs or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.. style doesn't determine prowess.

"The falsetto sounds good to me and 99% of other people"-

Well you have amusia, so your ears doesn't discern pitch well. 5 minutes ago your praised a phrase that was technically and musically flawed on a fundamental level. Intonation issues has never been an indication of 'good singing'

    "99"-

and now we're pulling stats out of our ass, now..

"You trying to argue that the weeknd is a bad singer is not looking good on your part" -

He's mediocre.. that doesn't necessarily mean that he's bad. You exposing your defected ears trying to talk to me about good singing is 'not looking good on your part', bubba..

can't believe people hate The Weeknd this much

I've won talent shows singing and was in choir for 5 years, I don't have amusia bruh, I know what sounds good and what doesn't, whose trained and who isn't.

You ignored the other video I tagged you in cause you know it was a good performance by The Weeknd.

You don't like how the weeknd sings plain and simple. You're a classic R&B fan - which the weeknd isn't. Your hate is justified tbh

"I've won talent shows singing and was in choir for 5 years, I don't have amusia bruh" - Yes you do have amusia. You praised a note from Weeknd that was severely out of tuned and dissonant from the rest of the song's key signature. I don't believe that you've won talent shows singing..Do you have any vocal clips I can hear? I have a few clips here and there on youtube and a few covers on facebook. Let's go blow for blow.. If I outsing you, concede and admit that your ears are useless.

"whose trained and who isn't" - yet you volunteered a whole lie 2 pages ago that Usher was classically trained.. why.

"You ignored the other video I tagged you in cause you know it was a good performance by The Weeknd" - No. I ignored it because the last vocal showcase you gave me from Weeknd was a literal vocal mess.. the first one I came across had him being completely drowned out by an acoustic guitar. Why on earth should I trust your ears if they can't even discern basic fundamentals like pitch, resonance etc.

"you don't like how the weeknd sings plain and simple" - I don't like weak, whiny vocals that I'd expect from your average funeral mourner. Simple.
"You're a classic R&B fan" - b**** you don't know me, df.. HER, Samoht, Sir, Yebba, BJ fit under the alternative umbrella and sanggg down. Just because I acknowledge Weeknd as the mediocre vocalist that he is doesn't mean I hate him.

i meant classically trained as in to sing the classic rnb style he does, i shouldnt have used that wording you're right

"weak, whiny vocals" - there are several vocal coaches who think other wise bruh. And millions upon millions of ppl who disagree as well

but you're ear is the best in the world right

He wasn't trained to sing in that style.. He developed and honed his craft all on his own..God given talents usually work in that way.

"there are several vocal aoches who think other wise bruh" -

were these perhaps the same coaches that judged the talent shows you've won in the past? ..or maybe they directed the choir you've sang in for 5 years lmao..

"but you're ear is the best in the world right" - no, but they're better than yours.. again we can go blow for blow if you want, let's hear it brudda '
