I think Drake’s verses are shifted off time and that’s why it sounds so choppy. He’s not off beat but the stem either comes in early or late... I’m gonna try to fix it but it might not have the greatest results

Damn i'm late but i love this song guys. This is the conversational flow that i miss from his NWTS days. He's painting such a real picture about his mom's love life as well as his. It's both deeply personal but still technically (from a pure rap standpoint) brilliant. Wish he dropped this when it first came out.

Drake doesn't make music like this anymore. My favorite brand of Drake is when he and 40 make these bops with R&B legends (e.g., Unthinkable, Fall for Your Type).
