He hasn’t released an album in 6 years. Being an Usher fan is HARD
The Zaytoven tape went hard. Also he has a Vegas residency recently

he’s a legacy act at this point that may as well be his final album
at least it’s a good one

That’s true. I meant his last solo “official” album. But the residency worked wonders for him last year and this year he’s had a strong start. Idk how he flipped his on switch with come thru but it looks like that was the moment that kind of brought his name up again.

He’s not even 50
Let him stunt on these untalented new niggas in a fractured industry

Last year he said he doesn’t wanna be a legacy act just yet. But idk how not to be if you don’t release an album to stay current

I think in most artists’ cases at this point he is a legacy artist. Mariah was considered on 28 years after her debut album (2018), so was Janet (2010), so Usher is on track in that aspect. However, the fact there is no true male R&B megastar after him leaves a gap that he has to fill so here we are lol

i’m sure he had Confessions 2 ready to go but the pandemic got in the way plus the 3-4 singles probably didn’t catch on the way he hoped
if he doesn’t drop this year i’m assuming that project is shelved

I could see him waiting till next year so it doesn’t clash with the residency. But yeah if it doesn’t come soon enough I’m losing hope

He still got it fr
Not an Usher fan whatsoever but it’s cool they’ve got my boy Vedo up there doing background vocals

B Cox and JD both said it won't be called Confessions 2, which is definitely a blessing. But it will follow the story of the album. All the snippets are solid
This is perfect timing for Usher and his pr team. All the R&B niggas getting exposed for lack of vocals and/or weak catalogues. He’ll go viral from singing his old hits with is incredible vocals. Add on the fact his residency starts in a couple weeks.
All the r&b singers getting exposed for “bad vocals” were already known for having bad vocals lmao
We already knew guys like bobby v,ray j, Omarion never was strong vocally…
Niggas out here looking like Jack skelington and sounding like fast food. But hey McDonald's does numbers tho
