The singles Nice and Slow and You Make Me Wanna are also 3x platinum now. I don’t think he certified My Way the single
Would be diamond already if the label would just pay to have it updated and certified more often. Classic record.

On RIAA’s site it said “standard” certification. I remember when Bey certified all her stuff about a month ago, people were saying that it means the streams and the singles weren’t included or something like that. If so, it’s technically still behind like you’re saying, which is probably true cuz it got to 6x in just 2 or 3 years.
Slow Jam should’ve been a single. I hate how few singles he released for his albums pre-Confessions

8701 should be diamond by now imo.
great album. crazy how he leveled up from his debut and kept that momentum with the 2 albums after this one
8701 should be diamond by now imo.
It wouldn’t surprise me
I hate how few singles his pre-Confessions albums had, BUT it drove the album sales very high. In just a year 8701 hit 4x plat. Limiting singles was a way to increase album sales back then and it worked for Usher, Britney, NSYNC, etc

I think they should update Usher's sales for that album, because there's no way that album can't be just 4x platinum and that's it. They're going to have the factor in the amount of streams and downloads that 8701 have gotten in the past 20 years since it's release. I damn sure know it's diamond.
How Do I Say is amazing tho, as are a lot of songs on that album. My Way just has less fat.

They need to update for all his albums. One guy who keeps track of official sales and is close with RIAA said he sold 70 mil units in the US just from the 8701, Confessions and RvR albums and singles on twitter on time. This was about a month ago. Most of his music isn’t certified in the US which is kind of annoying but it is what it is
