The production is crazy and varied, the guests are great, but Travis at his core has absolutely nothing to say, he's had plenty of chances to step up his game but he's basically been talking about the same party for his entire career

Okay. After digesting this for as long as I have, I’ve got to say anyone hating on Travis for this project… it’s pure hate

I understand the lyrics lack a depth to a degree. But the way he juggles this w/ the production + bodies the track, and the feature artists as well. He did a phenomenal job w/ the project

Introduced us to a experimental album that’d you completely forget was supposed to be. And on top of that didn’t allow himself to be washed out by the production, as hard as it went consistently. Such a strong showing

Ya’ll can hate but it’s CAP cuz this project will go down as one his best easily

Watch the waves from here and let it marinate. All the hate in this thread will look foolish in a couple months/year

I’m so glad travis doesn’t sell out like a lot of the “lyrical” rappers.

Pandering or talking about issues they know will tug at peoples heartstrings because it’s societal or racial just to get fans when you can tell these artists don’t actually care about that stuff nor do they deal with the issues they claim to deal with. They just rap about things to get fans

This right here. Hate him for not saying more, but all the others sound way to gimmicky and remind me record companies control EVERYTHING they say.. even when it doesn’t feel like it

I think it's probably overrated, I don't know why if the person makes some dark/mysterious music with 100 producers in the room and he isn't focus on lyrics = beats should be legendary.

I mean Graduation had better beats and lyrics.

What is this? Going to be streamed?

You don´t listen to Travis for lyrics, but for interesting "songs" (and obvious inspiration from his mentors such as Ye)

You don´t listen to Kendrick with expectations of something edgy-esque like "Yeezus"

Where are the people from his 2013 XXL freshmen in terms of popularity and brand? Travis is now selling out shows with $ $ $ $ $-budget + having "Ye" as special guest
