I mean it seems like you understand how to use it in a sentence when you’re not specifying a gender
Yes, I’m mostly talking about using gender as sentence modifier.
For example let’s say we are reading a interview of Uzi’s.
“Uzi say’s, random response to question sentence.”
alternatively, a writer could say “He Said” since we know the article is about Uzi.
“They said” or “says their” at the end of a sentence sounds awkward.
Again I have no issue using it. I’m just thinking it would be beneficial to craft a new word used to refer to a person of unspecified gender as they/them already has a meaning and the wider public has a mental block against it.
Anyway, I give zero f***s not trying to start a debate.
In the same way we display our names so people know how to refer to us, we should put our pronouns for the same reason
Got his ass
“heshe”
i always forget how weird n s***ty this site is about gender / trans stuff + it makes me sad
i will never understand why other people care so much about what another person chooses to identify as
My nigga seriously what are you saying. Out of everyone in this thread you responded to my post

I get your perspective but I’d genuinely recommend reading an interview with a non-binary person. It does start to click much faster than you might expect.
No shade to anyone but uses them, but they/them pronouns feel far more natural to use than stuff like ze/zir and whatnot imo. But at the end of the day f*** it if it’s important to them I’ll do it.

it’s no different than using “you” to mean a singular person
it used to be the plural second person pronoun, but over time, people decided to use it for both singular and plural instances

Xenogender and that neopronoun s*** shouldn't even be included in discussions of non-binary/trans because that stuff has nothing to do with gender (but that's a different topic entirely)
