Nah seems like the opposite. Seems like it’s going to be a success and with proton most games will actually be playable

just for reference. Valve accidentally leaked the sales numbers during the first hour reservations were up,

within the first HOUR they sold over 400k of these units.

wonder how many got reserved since then.

Well, the Steam Machine was just a regular old PC that had SteamOS installed on it. This is basically a portable computer that is rolling out with the newest form of SteamOS built around it. This is almost a successor to it.

From what we've seen of early footage, it looks very promising. Plus they had two entirely different goals.

^ Ignore the soyface Linus is doing, the video is actually very informational

It's around the same size of the Wii U gamepad (little wider than taller), and that s*** was comfortable as hell even though people freaked out that it was an abomination before even using it.

Ergonomics matter a lot more than the size. The Switch's ergonomics is f***ing horrendous and my hands cramped like crazy playing BOTW and MHGU.

facts hand cramps and my wrists if im laying a certain way because of the way ur hands need to hold the switch (no grip on the back)

lmaoo nah its my like hands + wrists just from the awkwardness of holding it when laying back or sitting certain ways, i have huge hands and it's common knowledge that the Switch OG is quite uncomfortable

important: what does the back of the Steamdeck look/feel like and how heavy is it in the center? i think if the Switch had heavier joycons and a lighter tablet the Switch would feel way nicer even at OLED screen size

check here for games that are supposed to be compatible. Proton is what the steam deck will use.

Anti cheat games they are still working on. stupid lazy devs just have to send an email to the makers of it to make it work but some still havnt
