Can the controllers be removed like with the Switch?

I assume you have to buy the dock to connect it to the TV, yes?

Dunno if I should get this or the Switch. I've been waiting on a price reduction for the Switch before getting one but it never happened

Also how are the controls? Maybe I wanna get Street Fighter 6 once it comes out Any genres that play well or play bad on thIs?

Main games I wanna play in 2023 are Street Fighter 6, Judgment, Lost Judgment, Red Dead Redemption 2, Yakuza 7, Cyberpunk 2077 and cool PS3/Xbox360 era games I missed out on.

You can just plug it into the TV via usb c to HDMI. However you do have to change your settings for games to be able to play them. Dont expect to plug it into your 4k tv and expect to play RDR2 at 4k... The system is built for 800p portable gaming. Old games + indie games should work full resolution on the TV, but newer games still stick with low resolution still and let the TV upscale for you

People saying this dock is just as good as the official one (just doesn’t come with an extra charger)

No i dont use it for non gaming stuff bc the only thing i can think of is work (programming) and the screen is too small for that

I'm playing Black Ops 3 with zombies mods and it runs at high, locked at 60fps with ease

Don't forget, things like Red Dead 2, God of War, Spiderman - AAA titles that make the Switch look like s***

256gb but I got a 1tb micro sd card on Amazon this week

You can get a 64gb and buy a 256/512gb SSD for cheap to upgrade, then get a microSD too - works out the cheaper way of doing it

Those low GB older PS3 era titles (AC2 for example) are so f***ing fire on this

All those games run pretty well on the deck. The ps3/360 emulators are hit/miss tho

Need windows for 360 too which sucks

Tried the homies today and it’s pretty cool. Played through a bit of Doom Eternal,Cyberpunk,P4AU2 and some emulation. All of it ran decently except Switch emulation.

Only real criticism is that the dpad kinda ass and it’s ugly as f***. S*** deadass look like a Sega Gamegear and I don’t really trust valve support after what they did with steambox and steam controllers

Can see myself buying it later on if it gets a price drop or a refresh

Also glad it has paddles on the back

Yeah it seems like they have really stepped up their support for this, by all accounts they’ve been great so far
