You right I’m just coping . I been on console my whole life so to get into this infrastructure for that price is crazy . I’ll make it my bday gift to myself or sum in a few months lol

Gotta see it from the perspective that it's a straight up PC. Folks buy a PS5 for $500 then pay $10 a month just to be able to play online games. And like, Netflix or some s*** like that.

You pay $400 and maybe another $60 for a SSD/SD card and you get access to the best game deals on any market, the best emulation machine on the market, a straight up Linux PC (that can be Windows if you wanna tinker with it), and on top all that it's in the palm of your hands.

You're expected to tinker with it and it's not going to be as plug-and-play as a console, but the world is your oyster with this s***

Buy an SD card for now

If you want more space internally, but an internal ssd

I only have like 15 hours of playtime, but can pretty much clear every attempt. Early on, definitely worth getting the garlic guy unlocked. Think you need to get Garlic to level 7? You pretty much trivialize the early game each round. iirc the Library level (2nd one) is the easiest, so that's probably a good spot to get used to playing the game/unlocking more stuff.

Also, focus on those permanent upgrades as well.

Was playing mine at the airport and some guy watering the plants comes up to me and asks what I was playing on. Told him to look up "Steam Deck" and idk if he misheard me or what, but he showed me his search results for "Steve d***"
