Does anyone do repacks on their deck?
I can spin it up but idk if I’m doing it the best way
i just do it on my pc and plug in tbis usb i got and transfer it over works perfectly
Why is fps on this thing so bad
Feels like using a mouse and keyboard with a controller it’s just pin point accurate it’s hard to explain

you mean like repacks in a torrenting sense? yeah i’ve run the installers through steam or winetricks but most of the time i just do em on my main pc (which also runs gnu/linux, have a windows PC too but rarely use it anymore) and just transfer it over

wouldn’t blame steam deck necessarily for that. i don’t play FPSes on controller ever, which is funny considering a nigga grew up on halo but was always mid even at my best and playing for hours tryna get good, but the second MCC got on PC and i played again years later i would consistently get top kills. i don’t ever play FPSes on controller if i can help it. i even happened to fire up the old xbox to try halo 3 OG and though i solo legendary with ease on every halo game even halo 2 i can’t even get past the first level with a controller.
yeah so i don’t recommend FPSes on a controller as a general rule, you just can’t get that same level of precision without insane mint blitz level dedication it seems like. though steam deck has the touchpad which might be an interesting option, i know the steam controller from some years ago had interesting design and could be good for that but they’re hard to get now

Yeah
I found fitgirl crashing all the time. Steam rip direct installs seem way easier but unsure how legit they are

Amazing screen, good battery and if you love emulation it's basically heaven.
Ally x looks fire, had to give it a hard pass and opted for a gaming laptop tho (moving abroad soon)
Ally 2 and steam deck 2 are going to change the world though and I’m all for it
Pc finally setup I’m trying to download hella games but sadly it’ll take a week to get all the games I want downloaded .
But man pc gaming really opened my eyes. I’m bought to cancel ps plus not buying no more game on console already got Hellas, unless it’s exclusive

Using console for exclusives only is the way to go

I’m hip between steam keys/big sales/gamepass I don’t even need to purchase a $70 game unless I really want to play something around release
