New snippet sounds completely different than FOTB, that guitar tone feels way more early 00s NY than anything they've done

new snippet got me extra intrigued, first one felt MVOTC meets FOTB, this one feels fresh

Rostam was a key composer for their first 3 albums, I really liked FOTB but you definitely notice his absence on a lot of tracks

still don’t get qhy he left

i remember he said something about not liking touring but idk why he didn’t just stay as producer especially as it seems there was no bad blood and he did at least one FOTB track

the strings at the end of this feel soooooo warm and nostalgic

i can’t describe it. sounds old and futuristic at the same time

creative differences maybe, I liked the albums he did with Clairo and Haim but I still havent checked out his solo stuff

The art direction of FOTB was pretty incredible imo. Shouts to whoever worked on that

hot take, but Rostam shouldve been THE indie producer working on literally everything instead of boring ass jack antonoff

nah, is it good

it’s really underrated imo especially for being mostly worked on around 2006-2008. if you’re a contra fan, you might lile it bc you can see where Rostam got a lot of the synth/electronic inspo that was used on that
