First one was trash. Surprised Tom Hardy is leading a superhero franchise
I don't think he's the problem here
Not sure what to expect, i liked the bromance angle of the first film and enjoyed that one for what it was. This seems more of that, but not sure if it's gonna be just as entertaining the second time around. Carnage was always my favorite comic book villain even though i'm not big on that type of stuff so cool to see him on the big screen.
But is it me or does the CGI look off? The Godzilla vs Kong monsters were a lot bigger but they looked much better

Has to do with the fact that most of GvK was fully CGI environments with CGI Godzilla and Kong. Venom is CGI added into real environments, not really comparable
It's probably also easier for our brains to comprehend a giant monkey and lizard-type creature than it is to understand a symbiote
god bless
Wtf, so does spidey exist in these movies or not? lol

For now no?
I think it’s really down to Marvel letting Sony acknowledge the MCU full fledged
I can guarantee we will see Tom Holland, Tom Hardy, and Woody Harrelson star in Maximum Carnage before 2026 tho

Sony making s*** so chaotic

It’s wild cause like I think there’s a possibility that Marvel could help with these movies and integrate them well. Maybe not give them to Feige because has has a lot as is but maybe have Nate Moore help? Give him that film oversight experience.

F*** it give me a Carnage solo at this point

I mean s*** if Sony hadn’t put Vulture in the Morbius trailer I would’ve thought otherwise lmao

forgot about that, what kind of operation is going on here
would’ve been dope if Sony just focused on a animated Spidey universe then left the live action with the mcu

That would be perfect because Spider-Verse is literally the best Spider-Man movie imo
S*** they could still hold the distribution rights to the live action films just have no creative input and we’ll be golden

Exactly, it could all be so simple lol

Godzilla's face looked like s*** except for that last look at Kong at the end. You can tell they were more focussed on Kong.

f*** no fam his face was the most emotive it has ever been in the Monsterverse

I thought Kong looked 10 times better. And making Godzilla smile was cringe lol
But that scene in the end of the movie when Godzilla looks at Kong did look great

Godzilla smirking was one of the best moments of GvK, they already were leaning into the wackiness of it all the whole movie so it fit perfectly
Not cringe it all, loved it
the fact that movies gotta advertise “only in theaters” now is crazy
That’s been a thing for as long as I can remember what. They literally always said “only in theaters” or “in select theaters near you”
We know who to blame if this goes worse than the first
Interesting that he ended up falling in love with the character to this extend
He’s played some notable characters before
