I can't speak for the South but, here in NJ, TI's true run was 04-08. That was the period of time when niggas here started really getting into him and bumping his music and stanning him.

Future, on the other hand, was hot af from 2012 to 2018 here and his mixtape presence was the closest to prime Wayne's.

Maybe in jersey but rubber band man was a pretty big record nationwide. His run pretty much started in 03. He even had kanye beats by that time and Pharrell was calling him the southern Jay Z

sucks how prison and releasing No Mercy ruined his run smh, though he made a brief commercial comeback in 2014 with About The Money and No Mediocre

I think him making more mature music and leveling up as a man also had something to do his career suffering. If he went back to his original style pre-King, he could have adapted to the new trap wave better and pushed forward. There's really no reason he shouldn't have had more success after 08 like wayne and kanye did.
