I hate all the music video essay on youtube because they are all so cookie cutter. They all sound like they are reading off a wiki page and they all end up just making video about the same 5 people
The genius of Kanye West
The subtle brilliance of Tyler The Creator
What make the Weeknd great
The hidden meaning of Childish Gambino
The artistry of Kendrick Lamar
These are good artist but there are more artist them just them. They have the most basic information, just speak on the most common narratives in the video and just follow popular opinion. Also they alway have at least one video hating on drake.
I do watch some of the pop culture one but they can be just as bad. There are some good animation ones.
Just a small rant for today
OP ur avi remind me of @flackojodye
@frenchpress what'd you call it? 2.8 GPA polisci major -> youtuber pipeline?
Thomas Flight- movies
Breadsword - animation and movies
are some stand out ones that I like
"the free content I watch is kinda meh"
I know some people who do this and they just make stuff in advance for when a release date's coming up because they know it'll give them more views, it's essentially like trying to force an essay out to a deadline, there's not much passion in it
I saw a video a while back like "Why People Love The Arctic Monkeys' and it was pretty much just that they make good songs that young people can relate to, stretched out to 15 minutes
"the free content I watch is kinda meh"
This free post I just read sucks ass
I only watch negative video essays. "What happened to " "the spiral of ".
I dont like those either because the narrative is clickbait. The downfall of Netflix, video made in 2018. The failure of Disney. The company that will be around for another 100 years.
"the free content I watch is kinda meh"

You right that moon YouTuber is one of the biggest bozos I've ever seen in my life, 20 minutes of the history of a company and then tie it into Blackrock and China.
Videos about a s***ty song/movie or terrible sports decisions still fire to me though
