im just in season 2 episode 3 and i think that the last kingdom and vinland saga are much better than vikings. Besides Ragnar and to some parts Rollo there isnt any likeable characters there and the norway/kattegat story bores me to hell. I cant sympathise with the norse people. Floki for example ist one the worst and boring characters ive ever seen.

And people say this show drops heavily after season 3.... at now a 7-7,5 from me.

The last Kingdom did it much better imo (english POV was much more intresting too) + they had so many great characters (King Alfred, Aethelwold, Ragnar, Leofric, Beocca, guthrum, odda).

Ragnar was great but I don't think the show dropped at all after his death as far as quality goes.

Aethestan and King Egbert were cool too but none of them survived season 3/4

I agree, if you watch the entire series, this is the best show of the genre.
