Speaking of all that, do you have a link to The Romanoffs? I’ve always wanted to check it out
Unfortunately not, and I would imagine any torrents for it are long dead considering “people” think it’s “trash.”
good art creates dialogue and discussion which is why I love this thread lovers & detractors alike, there's a lot of good discourse going on.. no TV has done this in the last decade since The Return tbh
Which is why weekly drops the way to go. If all the episodes dropped at once, discourse would be done in 2 weeks.

S*** you probably right. I’ll have to just buy it, it’s only one season anyways

critiquing Vince as someone who made “one great tv series almost two decades ago” (not even true btw as he easily has 2 classics to his name) and then proceeding to say he’ll never be up there with David Chase and Matthew Weiner in the pantheon of tv masters is a hilarious piece of self-contradiction. if that’s the logic we’re going off of, then they’re either all masters of television or none of them are.
and with that logic, the Weiner inclusion is especially egregious when you consider the fact that his last series (The Romanoffs) was so dogshit that it put him out of business entirely
Chase and Weiner are responsible for the two greatest television series’ of the past 30 years, what they’ve done outside of that matters very little to me. I don’t care that The Romanoffs was a critical flop, I don’t care that Chase spent much of his pre-Sopranos career as a journeyman, picking up work wherever he could find it, and has since made nothing of note. In comparison, Gilligan got to work on some great TV before he made any of his own, and he’s almost certainly a bigger marquee than anyone I mentioned. But this isn’t a cumulative game. This isn’t Gilligan making the Hall of Fame averaging 18/8/5 over 15 seasons while Chase and Weiner average 35/12/10 over 3 until they blowout their knees and are never the same. This is about peaks. Subjective? Sure. I’ve said mine, you’ve said yours. We’ll leave it at that. 🤝
Breaking bad was a show that was hot 20 years ago and hasn’t been talked about since is dudes argument. Meanwhile anyone living in reality knows bb has been a centerpiece of the zeitgeist for like 12 years straight now

yes
Pages upon pages not discussing the contents of the episode but rather how those critiquing it or possessing a different view are dumb
People are gonna be so pissed when season 1 doesn’t wrap everything up with a nice bow on top
Can’t wait

Every episode has been a cliffhanger so we expect it
