And not for my own personal viewing experience, but because the reason why dropping episode by episode is usually awesome is because it allows fans to get together and have positive discussion about the show, plot, characters, etc
Instead, the weekly dialogue we’ve gotten is “this is too slow” people vs. “you just have Tik tok brain” people. I literally only go itt to find Twitter news posts, cause I have no desire to see the comments

The whole purpose of a slower pace is to put you into the world or the mind state of the character. It’s not about “getting it” or it being “deep”. It’s a tactic of immersion but doing it more authentically than rapid fire plot being spewed at you via netflix-ified slop

Sinners authentically puts you into the mindset of the characters and the world. Guess what? It’s not “nEtFLix sLOp” or just niggas hitting golf balls for a while. There is a such thing as a “balance” that some seem to not understand.
Sad thing is I like this show, I don’t even think it’s paced slow, I just thought THIS particular episode was boring as hell
