You’re right, Creators had less autonomy/power back then and TV networks were able to issue greater demands with smaller budgets

Now that Vince (and other creators) are given a larger budget and autonomy they’re making use of it and I totally get it. What artist would prefer to have stricter deadlines and smaller budgets?

Slow Horses is a streaming show and they’ve produced five seasons of television in three years

The Pitt is a streaming show and they released Season 1 in January 2025 and Season 2 begins in January 2026

Vince is just one of many showrunners right now choosing these long gaps in their shows due to spending ludicrously high amounts of money on them

If David Lynch could make 18 episodes of The Return for $80M back in 2017, why are 9 episodes of Pluribus costing $130M?

Everything she does is extra though thats just her personality that we all spent 8 weeks complaining about lmao. Idk for me it’s, you finally have someone who wants to help you, who traveled to you, nobody else gave a damn to…yet this is who you wanna be difficult with? She was difficult from the very minute he pulled up. Which obviously thats fine cus it’s good for the story being its conflict.
